So, I wasn’t able to hit up my locally participating record store the moment it opened for Record Store Day. This was evidently a mistake. By the time I rolled up, there was one shitty little display with a handful of records left. The good stuff had long been snatched up. Ugh. I checked eBay this morning and, much to my chagrin, it’s all there, outrageously marked up. So now if I want any of those limited records, I have to pay out the ass. I should have known it would go down this way, but I just couldn’t envision a crowd at a record store in 2009. I’m not sure if it speaks well to the current interest level in records or if a few greedy dicks just bought up all the cool shit to turn around and sell on eBay. I did manage to grab that Dead Weather 7” with the Gary Numan cover because it was hidden behind a Sublime reissue or something.
