Metallica’s penchant for corporate shilling knows no bounds

Already cringing with embarrassment as each college basketball coach slid out to the dead-horse send-up of that ridiculous scene in Risky Business, my brain failed to make the requisite amount of shame necessary for when the members of Metallica finally showed up. It’s not as though Metallica had much reputation left to tarnish, what with sucking for the better part of two decades now, but, man, any shred of dignity that was left was obliterated by this unspeakably terrible ad for the new Metallica/Guitar Hero marriage. It’s a must watch, though, if you relish schadenfreude.
