Morrissey bares all

January 31st, 2009

In what must surely be some sort of mid-life crisis or misguided grasp at the cover of a tabloid, Morrissey and his bandmates bare (almost) all. WTF was he thinking? Who green lights this sort of trainwreck? I love Moz as much as the next fan, but if he had asked me about this idea, […]

Air’s La Femme D’argent 10 years later

January 30th, 2009

Air’s Moon Safari, which was the first full album I ever ripped and mp3 encoded, is getting the 10 year anniversary double disc reissue treatment with Rarities, Remixes and Sessions. (spotted on coudal.com) I wish they had a clip of Jeremy Piven screaming “10 YEARS!” It would have been perfect for this post. Sigh.

Even though they drag it out for six and a half minutes, it’s easy to get lost […]

Everybody’s working for Friday I’m in love t-shirts

January 30th, 2009

The Cure’s “Friday I’m in Love” is easily one of the worst songs Robert Smith has ever composed. It was The Cure’s “Take This Job and Shove It”, a tune destined for the 5 o’clock whistle on Friday afternoon radio shows to be sandwiched between “Everybody’s Working for the Weekend” and “Bang on the Drum […]
