Robyn’s been milking the same record in one form or another for three years, though, admittedly the US version didn’t surface until this past April. This video for what is arguably her best single, “Cobrastyle” (a Teddybears cover), is finally out, and it features the Swedish pop star in various modes of slow motion, spitting paint, and spraying the white background and her “band” with Jackson Pollack-style splatter. Her supporting tour with Madonna this year has certainly helped her gain access to a wider audience, but she still seems too weird for mainstream success over here, especially when you take a gander at the schlock on pop radio over here (excepting M.I.A.’s curious presence in the top ten).
