In a slick bid to pad the fan-list, Kings of Leon are offering a free download of the new song, “Crawl”, in exchange for your email address. This type of thing is the only reason I still have a yahoo account. The new song is a mid-tempo rocker (imagine that). But, really, it’s a dirty grunge revision with an unsubtle Led Zeppelin groove, replete with reverb-drenched vocals. Best thing I’ve heard from them in a while. I was unaware just how big Kings of Leon had gotten until I saw them at Bonnaroo last summer on the main stage. The hippie kids were all about it. I suppose I shouldn’t find that surprising.
