New My Bloody Valentine music by year’s end?

More less-than-reliable news has surfaced claiming that things might be brewing in the My Bloody Valentine camp. Billboard is sourcing the Daily Swarm with the scoop that Kevin Shields has indirectly confirmed that My Bloody Valentine will release new music by the end of this year. He appeared in an interview segment with The Make-Up’s Ian Svenonious for vbs.tv. This smacks of Chinese Democracy-level bullshit, but I must admit I have way more faith in Shields’ word than that of Axl Rose’s. According to the Daily Swarm a new MBV record is 3/4 of the way done, which dates back to 1996. As for the Coachella rumors, they remain only rumors, though Billboard claims they have word that the negotiations have recently soured.

First, Hayden Panties-I-Tare as Wendy, then The Smiths thing you told me the other night, now this. My feeble little heart just can’t take this kind of thing. I hope so, regardless. Jesus H. Christ…I gettin’ hard just thinking about it.
