Murder By Death album news

Posted October 15th, 2007 by eric

Bloomington, Indiana’s Murder By Death may be slow to get new records out, but the band plays no shortage of shows. The non-stop touring has to take its toll at some point. I can’t imagine being able to write new material in such a draining, repetitive environment, but the band just released a statement on its website, announcing new album plans:

“We are thrilled to announce that we are in the studio recording our new album, to be titled Red of Tooth and Claw. We will be recording with veteran producer Trina Shoemaker, who has worked with a variety of bands from Queens of the Stone Age to Emmylou Harris to Whiskeytown to Iggy Pop. We will be recording at Dark Horse Studios out in the country in Tennessee and mixing at East Iris.”

Red of Tooth and Claw will be the follow-up to 2006’s excellent In Bocca Al Lupo and the band’s fourth full-length altogether.

If ever there was reason to introduce the use of the hottie tag, now would be a good time.
