New Morrissey album for next year

Morrissey is set to record the follow-up to Ringleader of the Tormentors at the close of his current US tour, which finishes up in Miami, FL on November 8. Speaking on the direction of the new record:

“You are bound to pick up influences whose lyrics are famed for incorporating social and political commentary. But when you create and write it’s very important to be yourself and that’s what I’ve always tried to do. I’m outside the mainstream, and the mainstream never let me in.”

Though his contract with Sanctuary has expired, Morrissey is rumored to be in talks with his former home, Warner Bros. Records, which sort of raises an eyebrow to his previous “outside the mainstream” comment. How outside the mainstream can you be when you’re in bed with Bugs Bunny?
