Elvis Costello recently put this Arctic Monkeys single on his celebrity iTunes playlist, humbly acknowledging that he tried to write a song on the subject of a young woman lamenting lost thrills but didn’t do as good a job as Alex Turner does here. Not bad coming from one of the best lyricists of all time. Turner has certainly come into his own on Favourite Worst Nightmare, and the band rips it up for Dave.
