Robinson’s new book – fight, flight or just show your junk

In yet more nude dude news, 220-pound Oxbow front man Eugene Robinson has finished penning his ridiculously titled idiot’s guide to extreme grappling Fight: Or, Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About Ass-Kicking But Were Afraid You’d Get Your Ass Kicked For Asking. Sounds like one of those Bertrand Russell riddles. (Although I guess it’s not quite as awkward as exploding teardrop Julian Cope’s newest jingoistic survey – Japrocksampler: How the Post-War Japanese Blew Their Minds on Rock ‘n’ Roll.)

Long before he started disrobing on stage with the other blokes in his smarter than thou hardcore quartet, Robinson was Editor-in-Chief of the revered tech mag EQ. And while he still finds time to rub out the occasional porno review for online tube sock Mack Avenue Skullgame, he’s really more of a fighter than a love watcher now. And while his tell-all won’t be out until November, Oxbow’s latest – The Narcotic Story – is out now on the aptly titled Hydra Head. Ask anyone who’s seen ‘em. Eugene S. Robinson is definitely not afraid of you, and unlike Ira and Georgia from Yo La Tengo, really can beat your ass…bitch.
