Brighton’s The Maccabees are a British band worthy of the hype. Their off-kilter pop is a tight-lipped amalgamation of Blur, Wire, and XTC , which uncoils a controlled urgency with staccato melodies that don’t take too many listens to sink in. The band’s debut, Colour It In, comes out tomorrow via Polydor. And unlike the unlistenable Klaxons, The Maccabees don’t patronize with pedantic lyrical snipes. They may err on the side of earnestness, but the hooks are just too damn good to mind.

Here are all their US dates with Bloc Party and The Noisettes. The shows with an (*) are dates with just The Noisettes.
