Madonna’s charity knows no bounds

In her continuing quest for bridging the gap between Detroit white trash and English nobility, Madonna has recorded a “special” song to benefit the Live Earth Concert in another public act of heroic altruism. “Hey You” (not a Pink Floyd cover, thankfully) will be available only for download, so it will not be sent to radio, which works out well for everyone, since radio gave up on Madonna years ago. According to puzzlingly named fansite drownedmadonna.com, the song is “about making a difference, loving yourself and others.” What’s all this love crap? Whatever happened to being a slut?

Madonna will be performing at London’s Wembley Stadium on July 7, alongside the Beastie Boys, a newly reformed Genesis, Duran Duran, and The Foo Fighters.
