Stars shun Spector at trial opening

No surprise here. Spector has trashed practically everyone he’s ever worked with. The guy’s a bitter fruitcake, hermetically sealed in his own narcissistic cocoon of insanity, evidenced by his sweet defense of “She kissed the gun” in his trial for the murder of B-movie actress Lana Clarkson.

An upcoming biography of Spector by author Mick Brown is entitled, Tearing Down the Wall of Sound, which showcases Spector’s fond remembrances of his peers:

“On Brian Wilson, the Beach Boys leader and songwriting legend who battled mental illness for years, Spector declared, ‘I don’t feel sorry for Brian Wilson. I never thought he was that talented to begin with . . . I’d be more impressed if somebody with a brain idolized me.'”

“And on ‘American Bandstand’ legend Dick Clark: ‘That’s where payola started. Everybody around Dick Clark went to jail, except for Dick Clark.'”

Man, I’ve never even heard of anyone trash-talking Dick Clark.
